Yes, owners should always accompany their dogs, because in fact, our trainers will not only teach the dogs but, above all, their owners. For the training to be successful, owners are supposed to continue training their dog at home, after the face-to-face class at our school, and practice daily several times a day, in a coherent and consistent way.
As soon as you have all the vaccines, including the kennel cough, and the internal and external deworming, that is, around 3 months. All dogs that attend our space must prove these data in the first class.
All dogs, of all ages, can always learn and improve certain aspects. Learning may not be so fast, but it is always possible to change habits in an older dog or teach him new behaviors. Possibly you may need a little more time and patience!
We offer individual classes: socialization and basic obedience for puppies, adult dogs, solving behavioral problems, classes for dangerous or potentially dangerous dogs, canine sport classes and even home classes. And even group classes, for dogs that already have some basic obedience.
If your dog knows how to: walk on a leash without pulling, sit, lie down, come to call and stay put, he can join this training group. These classes are maintenance classes, to remember the behaviors already acquired and recreate new and more complex situations that will put to the test the commands that your dog already executes. Classes can take place on school premises, in the city or in a mall.
As a general rule, they take place on the grass training field of the dog training school, sometimes abroad, such as in the city of Quarteira or in the mall, and if necessary, even at the client's house.
The answer to this question depends on: what are your training goals, your dog's character and age, and your dedication and willingness to train your dog. There is no magic. You will only get good results if you dedicate enough time to training your dog.
To class you must bring: collar, leash and any other training materials that you usually use. Plus rewards and a toy. You should not feed your dog before class or go for long walks before class.
Iron Dog Algarve always has a waiting list, depending on the availability of trainers and the time of year, this wait can vary greatly between 10 to 15 days, and in extreme cases, up to 8 weeks.
